Finally, the Radiant Team has come back to Glasgow, Scotland! For the first time ever, SmackDown has arrived in England, and the electric OVO Hydro Arena will host us tonight on the road to Clash at the Castle! We’ve got a loaded card: Queen of the Ring Nia Jax vs. Michin, Kevin Owens seeking revenge on Solo Sikoa for last week's brutal triple powerbomb, a Grayson Waller Effect with special guests DIY, and a heated face-off between Cody Rhodes and AJ Styles. This night is about to be scorching—so let’s dive in!
Naomi vs. Chelsea Green
Tonight’s match felt more like a chaotic tag war than a standard singles contest. Naomi entered with WWE Women’s Champion Bayley , while Chelsea Green had Piper Niven in her corner. As always, Chelsea kicked things off by berating the crowd—she’s obnoxious, yes, but there’s no denying her charisma and sharp mic skills.
In the ring, though, Chelsea struggled to match Naomi’s athleticism. She resorted to her usual underhanded tricks to gain the upper hand—distractions, cheap shots, anything to avoid a clean fight. Naomi, however, delivered a strong, confident performance, clearly in control for most of the bout.
At one point, Chelsea tried to steal a win using the ropes, but Bayley interfered and shut that down immediately. Chelsea wasted too much time arguing with the champ, and that distraction allowed Naomi to roll her up for the three-count! ✅
SmackDown 14.06.2024 - No surprises here — the match ended exactly how most of us expected.
Piper didn’t hide her disappointment but still stood by her girl. Tomorrow, though, Piper will have her moment—a title shot against Bayley—and that one won’t be so easy to walk away from. 👑
Grayson Waller Effect – Special Guests: DIY
A bold move from A-Town Down Under, inviting their challengers DIY to the Grayson Waller Effect mere hours before Clash at the Castle. And yeah, we all knew this “talk show” would end in chaos. Waller kicked off with a classic heel move—placing only one chair for both Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa—but DIY weren't playing games. They tossed the furniture aside and went straight to business.
Tommaso mocked the show and asked the question everyone’s thinking: “If this is the Grayson Waller Effect, then what’s Austin Theory’s job? Personal secretary?” Waller puffed his chest, saying Theory is his best friend and he’d “take a bullet for him.” Cue Johnny Gargano with the receipts—a video from last week showing Waller using Theory as a human shield! 😂
Grayson tried to deflect, but the truth hit hard. Surprisingly, Austin stayed quiet, showing visible discomfort. Ciampa challenged them to a title match tonight, but the champs, of course, weren’t ready.
Johnny then made it personal. He told Austin that he didn’t need Grayson, that he was better than this, clearly disappointed in the man he once mentored. That must’ve rattled Waller, because he triggered the brawl himself—and once again, Theory was the only one left beaten in the ring. Every single time Waller starts something, it’s Austin who pays the price. Will Theory finally snap and turn on his so-called “best friend”? It’s only a matter of time...
Santos Escobar vs. Apollo Crews
Last week, Apollo was supposed to face the man who cost him his match with Andrade—Angel—but instead got jumped by the entire Legado del Fantasma. Tonight, Santos Escobar stepped up to face Crews one-on-one… but let’s be real, the numbers game was bound to play a role.
Still, what if someone evened the odds? Andrade "El Idolo" was in the building, and although he doesn’t owe Apollo anything, his own history with Legado could make him a wild card. Apollo came out swinging, full of rage, launching an aggressive assault on Santos. But, as expected, the outside distractions quickly tipped things in Santos’ favor. Then came the twist: Baron Corbin showed up out of nowhere! 😲
The Lone Wolf attacked Angel at ringside, giving Apollo a fighting chance to continue without the unfair interference. Crews took advantage of the opening and nearly got the win after hitting a Devastating Death Valley Driver—so close! But Legado wasn’t done. Angel and Humberto tried attacking Corbin again, only for Baron to swat them down. Yet one more obstacle remained—Elektra Lopez. Her well-timed distraction allowed Santos to steal the win via a sneaky roll-up.
Despite Corbin’s help, the odds are still stacked, and it’s clear now: Crews and Corbin need one more piece—a female ally—to even the battlefield. 👥
Face-Off: Cody Rhodes vs. AJ Styles
This feud started off slow, but now it’s personal—deeply personal. Tomorrow, it all comes to a head in an “I Quit” match, and Cody Rhodes might be walking into the most dangerous night of his title reign. Let’s be honest: with no disqualifications, the OC can absolutely interfere, and this could easily turn into a 3-on-1 situation. Cody doesn’t have many friends left—and AJ knows it. 😈
Styles arrived in Glasgow and played it like he was the smartest guy in the room. But was it really smart to request an “I Quit” match against a man who’s literally built to endure pain? Cody is the modern-day John Cena—he never quits. The crowd roared: “Cody! Cody Rhodes!” 🎶—and it rattled AJ. In response, Styles tried to cut deep, accusing Cody of always running away: “You left NJPW… ROH… AEW. Why should we believe you won’t quit now?”
Cody didn’t hesitate. He fired back with venom, calling AJ a coward who’s really quitting on himself. The Undisputed Champion was visibly furious—clearly shaken. But even in anger, AJ acknowledged Cody’s toughness, referencing the steel cage war with Seth Rollins. In the end, AJ promised to beat Cody so brutally tomorrow that “he’ll gladly say ‘I quit’ just to save his own life.” 😤 Big words. But can he actually back them up?
Michin vs. Nia Jax
After Michin’s sneak attack last week, Queen of the Ring Nia Jax was out for vengeance—and tonight, she got it. The result of this one was never really in doubt, but the big surprise was… Tiffany Stratton? Yes, Tiffany showed up at ringside, seemingly to form an alliance—or at least butter up the Queen. It’s unclear what she’s after, but you know Tiffany doesn’t move without a master plan.
SmackDown 14.06.2024 - Tough break for Michin, but honestly? That outcome didn’t come as a surprise.
Michin landed a brief comeback, even hitting “Eat Defeat,” but Tiffany threw water in her face, giving Nia the perfect opening. Clothesline. Annihilator. Done. 💥
This one was over in minutes. Nia stays dominant, and Tiffany may have just aligned herself with the most dangerous woman on the roster. What’s her angle? 🤔 We'll find out soon...
Carmelo’s Announcement
We got a hilarious piece of footage tonight—LA Knight chilling at Logan Paul’s house, sipping his booze and taking a dip in his pool like it was his own. 🤣 Let’s not forget, LA Knight has some experience when it comes to invading other people’s homes… just ask Aj Styles.
Next week in Chicago, LA Knight will go face-to-face with Logan Paul, but for now, the focus shifted to Carmelo Hayes, who once again tried to run his mouth at the Megastar. I still don’t get it. You just lost to LA Knight last week, so what are you even doing talking trash? Maybe Melo has high ambitions… but a short memory. Or a small brain. 🧠
Either way, he dropped a big announcement: Carmelo is officially entering the Money in the Bank qualifying matches. And I’ll admit, if he manages to make it into that ladder match, he could seriously steal the show. High-flying, cocky, and reckless? That’s MITB gold. 💼
Kevin Owens vs. Solo Sikoa
Tonight, Kevin Owens was supposed to go to war with the new “Head of the Table,” Solo Sikoa, and he wasn’t going to do it alone—the Street Profits were supposed to have his back. Too bad they got absolutely demolished backstage by the Gorillas of Destiny. 💀 As always, KO was left alone to handle the Bloodline—again. Owens, ever the sarcastic warrior, brushed it off: “I fought the old Bloodline by myself for months, nothing’s changed.” Luckily, Nick Aldis stepped up with a clutch decision, banning Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa from ringside and threatening to suspend the entire Bloodline if they interfered. Props to the GM 👏—we finally got a somewhat fair fight.
Solo, however, made a bizarre promise—if he lost tonight, he’d go after Paul Heyman next. Seriously? What kind of “Head of the Table” threatens to beat up a frail old Hall of Famer? What a joke. The bell rang and Kevin wasted zero time, charging Solo with a clothesline and launching himself with a frog splash off the apron. Damage done early. 💥 This wasn’t a one-sided battle either—Owens and Solo are practically mirrors of each other. Same brawling style. Same toughness. Same refusal to back down. Both men traded heavy shots, stiff combos, and bruising power moves. No quick pins, no shortcuts.
Then came the heart-stopper. After a Cannonball and Swanton Bomb, Kevin nearly had it won—but Paul Heyman slid in and saved Solo, placing his foot on the rope. 👀 That fired KO up, and he looked ready to launch Heyman straight through a table. But before he could do it, Solo struck, catching Owens with a Samoan Spike and stealing the win. Another tainted victory for the new tribal chief. 😤 After the bell, the carnage began. Tama and Loa rushed the ring like hungry animals, taking turns beating the life out of Owens. They were ready to end him—put him through a table and send him straight to the hospital.
But the Viper struck. Randy Orton stormed the ring like a man possessed and laid waste to the entire Bloodline crew. One man army. 💥 This war is far from over. If anything, it’s just getting bloodier. 🐍🔥
Final Thoughts
The first-ever SmackDown in Glasgow is officially in the books, and with Clash at the Castle just around the corner, the tension is rising—I swear I can already smell the smoke in the air. But before we get to the battlefield, let’s make one final pit stop and break down everything that went down tonight. 👇
🏴 Piper’s Castle: A Shot at Gold
Tonight felt like a warm-up brawl. With Naomi and Chelsea Green out of tomorrow’s title match, the spotlight is fully on Bayley and Piper Niven. Let’s be honest—Bayley’s starting to look a little shaky as champion. If she somehow escapes Piper’s wrath in her home country, someone else will step up soon enough. But the real threat? Nia Jax, waiting in the shadows for SummerSlam. Good luck, champ... you're going to need it. 💀
🎭 Theory’s Weekly Sacrifice
That’s three weeks in a row that Grayson Waller used Austin Theory like a human shield. Tonight, Theory ate both a Superkick and a knee to the temple, and neither of those shots were meant for him. The guy’s been sacrificing himself like a loyal sidekick, but come on—it’s time for Theory to wake up and fight back. A face turn and an all-out war with Waller could seriously elevate both men. Let’s make it happen. 🔥
🐺 Corbin Is Back
A few weeks back, I was genuinely impressed with Baron Corbin—he almost knocked off Carmelo Hayes with some slick in-ring work. Then he vanished... until tonight. Now he’s teamed up with Apollo Crews, and the two of them seem ready to go to war with Santos Escobar and Legado del Fantasma. I’m hyped to see where this goes—both Corbin and Apollo are underrated talents, and it’s about time they got a spotlight.
🤐 Who Will Finally Stay Quiet?
Tomorrow, we’re getting an "I Quit" match that promises to be brutal. Weapons, blood, emotion—Cody Rhodes and AJ Styles are going to drag each other to hell and back. I don’t think AJ will be the one to end Cody’s reign, but I do believe this match will leave scars—physically and mentally. I expect fireworks, drama, and a fight that we’ll be talking about for a long time. 💥
💋 Tiffany’s Alliance... or Setup?
I’m still not sure if Nia Jax needs help from Tiffany Stratton, but Stratton seems determined to latch onto her. A match between Tiffy and Michin looks likely next week, and while it’s hard to picture Michin beating someone like Stratton, at least it reminds us that the roster has depth. The real question is—how will Nia react to Tiff’s little friendship attempt? Something tells me this alliance won’t end in a group hug. 😏
🕶️ LA Knight Plays Home Invasion
Just like he promised last week—Logan Paul didn’t come to SmackDown, so LA Knight brought SmackDown to Logan Paul. Straight-up chilling in his pool, drinking his drinks, and sending a loud and clear message: “See you next week.” I’m all in for this feud. Nick Aldis, do us all a favor and make that title ladder match official. YEAH! 🧨
🐍 Bloodline’s Nightmare: KO and The Viper
Good news for Paul Heyman—he won’t be getting a Samoan Spike to the face anytime soon since Solo Sikoa beat Kevin Owens. But the bad news? KO and Randy Orton aren’t done with The Bloodline, not by a long shot. Whether it’s singles matches or chaotic tag wars, this conflict is only heating up. And when it explodes at a PLE? You better believe it’ll be savage. 💣
A solid SmackDown to close out before the big event. We’re fired up, hyped up, and ready for Clash at the Castle. Expect chaos, title changes, emotional battles, and the next level of intensity for many feuds. I was locked into this show from start to finish—and I can’t wait to watch the premium live event and share my honest thoughts with all of you. See you soon, fellas! ✌️🔥
