Raw 01.04.2024

Whoo-hoo! The RadiantGame Team is now in our city—Brooklyn, New York City!

Tonight is the final Raw before WrestleMania, and it’s going to be epic. The Bloodline will be here to deliver their last message to their WrestleMania opponents, and Drew McIntyre is bound to seek revenge on Seth Rollins after that brutal superkick from the champion. Let’s get into it!

The Bloodline Takes Over Raw

The Rock kicks off Raw with an intense declaration: he’s close to fulfilling his promise. He’s taken the belt, spilled Cody Rhodes’ blood, and now, all that’s missing are “Mama Rhodes’ tears.” Rock’s words were chilling, especially when he referenced a vow to make Cody bleed by the night’s end.

Raw 01.04.2024 post image 1Raw 01.04.2024 - The Rock looks magnificent in his age.

But it wasn’t all ruthless bravado; we got a glimpse of Rock’s softer side, too. Footage of little girls crying after seeing their hero Cody beaten down appeared on the big screen, and Rock admitted that, as a father of three daughters, it broke his heart. "Sometimes, a man’s got to do what a man’s got to do," he said, directing his words to all the young fans watching. But make no mistake—he’s relentless, driven by what he sees as Cody’s disrespect toward the Bloodline family.

Raw 01.04.2024 post image 2Raw 01.04.2024 - Greatness stands before you now!

Then came the Tribal Chief himself, Roman Reigns, with Solo Sikoa, Jimmy Uso, and the Wise Man, Paul Heyman, by his side. Roman acknowledged Rock’s efforts and called this WrestleMania “the easiest of his life.” He fired shots at Cody, saying Rhodes just isn’t cut out for this—after all, Roman was the one who made WWE “cool again” in 2020, while Cody was nowhere in sight. “This is our mountain and our business!” he declared, only to be interrupted by none other than Seth “Freakin’” Rollins.

Raw 01.04.2024 post image 3Raw 01.04.2024 - Seth is ready to set up a challenge to Bloodline.

Now, walking into a Bloodline showdown solo wasn’t the safest move for Seth, but the Raw Champion made it clear he’s ready to throw down. "How about Seth Rollins versus the Final Boss?" he challenged, then hinted at a match against Roman Reigns himself. Of course, Solo stepped up to the plate instead, and Rock added a ruthless twist—it would be under Bloodline rules. Can Seth survive under these brutal conditions? I have my doubts.

Judgment Day Looks Unstoppable Heading into WrestleMania

After Judgment Day interfered in last week’s match between DIY and The New Day, it’s time for some payback in the ring. While it's questionable for champions to risk it all so close to a major title defense at WrestleMania, their plan tonight is pure genius. Mysterio and JD McDonagh are essentially the bait, softening up their opponents, while Damian Priest and Finn Bálor stay ready to deal the finishing blow.

Raw 01.04.2024 post image 4Raw 01.04.2024 - Tommaso is destroying young blood of Judgment Day.

Tommaso Ciampa stood out, fighting like a beast and tearing through the Judgment Day roster. But the younger Judgment Day members did their job, wearing down their opponents so Priest could step in and clean up. In a dominant display of strategy, Priest took Ciampa down with a devastating Razor’s Edge for the win. This team has the momentum and confidence they need heading into the biggest show of the year.

Raw 01.04.2024 post image 5Raw 01.04.2024 - Damian plan work perfectly - he and his allies destroy every Raw team that take part in upcoming title match.

The Tribal Chief Entrusts the Final Boss

With tonight’s main event under Bloodline rules, Roman makes a surprising exit, deciding to leave the arena to prepare for Paul Heyman’s Hall of Fame induction this Friday. He leaves the Rock in charge, ensuring everything stays under Bloodline control. Roman’s absence adds a twist—will the Final Boss make sure things go the way the Bloodline wants, or will Seth Rollins find a way to survive and strike back?

Chad Gable’s Grueling Training Camp

Just as he promised last week, Chad Gable is all in on preparing Sami Zayn for the showdown against The Ring General this Sunday. Gable has pushed Sami through intense, exhausting training sessions designed to sharpen his mental game and dig deep for that fighting spirit. Sami, driven by a fear of disappointing those who believe in him, is giving everything he’s got. Gable’s mission is simple but critical—unleash Sami’s hunger to win. After such brutal preparation, Sami is ready to face his toughest challenge yet.

Judgment Day Faces Communication Issues

It’s no secret that tensions are growing within Judgment Day. Once again, Dominik Mysterio’s actions have stirred unrest, especially after he invited Legado Del Fantasma into their locker room. The cracks in their unity are becoming harder to ignore, and I’m betting we’re about to see some major fallout in the near future.

Sami Zayn Takes on Bronson Reed… Again

Sami Zayn stepped up for a rematch against Bronson Reed tonight, knowing that with his newfound mentality, he has to win. If Sami can’t pull this off, what hope does he have against The Ring General at WrestleMania? But Reed’s sheer size and strength made this no easy task for the Ultimate Underdog. After executing a jaw-dropping sunset flip powerbomb, Sami nearly had Reed down for the count, but the “monster” kicked out, proving just how tough this challenge was going to be.

Raw 01.04.2024 post image 6Raw 01.04.2024 - After that massive move I thought Reed will take second victory in a row.

One of Sami’s biggest issues was dealing with Reed’s massive frame—he just didn’t have the strength to pull off his usual arsenal. It was only when Reed missed his signature Tsunami Splash that Sami had an opening, lining up a Halluva Kick to finally put Reed away. But just as victory seemed within reach, The Ring General struck. Gunther appeared, dragging out the battered form of Chad Gable to taunt Sami and then launched a vicious attack on Zayn, dismantling him.

Raw 01.04.2024 post image 7Raw 04/01/2024 - Gunther feels that Sami is a real threat to his historic title reign.

This marked a new level of aggression from Gunther, a ruthless side I hadn’t seen before. Could it be that The Ring General isn’t as sure of himself heading into Saturday’s fight as we thought? Despite the brutal beatdown, Sami managed to stagger back to his feet, giving Gunther a moment of disbelief. But a devastating title belt blow finally left Sami down and out—a grim scene that might just foreshadow what we’ll witness at WrestleMania.

Is Ivy Niles Wasting Time with Maxxine Dupri?

Once again, Maxxine Dupri and Ivy Nile teamed up against Indi Hartwell and Candice LeRae. Last time, Candice’s harsh words rattled Maxxine enough to cost her the match. Ivy is putting a lot of energy into building up Maxxine’s in-ring skills, but honestly, I think Maxxine is better suited to managing outside the ropes rather than wrestling inside them. Tonight, as expected, Maxxine quickly lost control of the match, absorbing a lot of punishment from Candice. Besides one weak roll-up attempt, her offense was non-existent, barely making it back to tag in Ivy, who once again had to do the heavy lifting.

Raw 01.04.2024 post image 8Raw 01.04.2024 - Second offensive move by Dupri in this "awesome" match.

After an attempt at foul play from Indi and Candice led to a miscommunication, Maxxine managed to capitalize. She dropkicked Hartwell into LeRae, then rolled up Indi for the win. Afterward, Candice had a few choice, pitiful words for her partner. I can already sense tension brewing here—don’t be surprised if this partnership unravels soon.

Seth Rollins Calls in Reinforcements

The Raw champion is starting to realize the trouble he’s stepped into. Fortunately, he’s got backup in Yeet Boy Jey Uso, who is ready to watch his back. With Bloodline Rules meaning anything goes, Jey’s support is crucial, though even then, Seth and Jey are up against a brutal 4-on-2 situation. It’s hard to say if Seth will escape unscathed, but the champion and his backup look determined to take their chances.

Ricochet Finally Faces the Viking

Last week’s delay didn’t stop this showdown from happening, and tonight, Ricochet came face-to-face with the powerhouse Ivar. On paper, it looked like Ricochet would be completely overwhelmed by the Viking’s size and strength. But Ricochet is a man reborn, showing us exactly why he belongs in the big leagues. This was a clash of power versus agility, and although Ivar controlled the early stages, Ricochet’s relentless strikes and well-timed kicks slowly chipped away at the big man’s dominance.

Raw 01.04.2024 post image 9Raw 01.04.2024 - I have no idea how Ricochet's head didn't fly away after connection with Viking's leg.

After an incredible spinning heel kick and sitout powerbomb from Ivar that should have sealed the deal, Ricochet somehow managed to kick out. The way to take down a bigger opponent? Let them make the first mistake. Right when Ivar went for his devastating Doomsault, Ricochet rolled away at the last second, showing incredible awareness. Then, in a stunning display of strength, he caught the Viking in mid-air with a fallaway slam—an unbelievable move that had the crowd roaring! A perfect 450 Splash put an end to Ivar, securing a huge win for Ricochet.

Raw 01.04.2024 post image 10Raw 01.04.2024 -Incredible demonstration of power by highflyer.

This performance is a clear message: Ricochet is back and better than ever. Could we be seeing him rise to main event status? If he keeps this up, it’s only a matter of time.

Dominik Building His Own Empire?

Judgment Day has been struggling to handle Ricochet lately, so Dominik Mysterio has been forming some unlikely alliances. He’s brought in Legado Del Fantasma and, interestingly, Andrade, who’s a powerful addition to any faction. Dominik has promised that if Andrade can take out Ricochet next week, he’ll make him a member of Judgment Day. I’m 100% sure Andrade, being the honorable man he is, has his own motives and ambitions for this arrangement. Dominik may think he’s building his empire, but with someone like Andrade, he might be in for a surprise if he thinks he can control him.

Becky Lynch Demands a Fight

Becky Lynch is back, and as usual, she’s stirring up chaos. Her recent antics have been a bit over the top, but it’s undeniably entertaining. Tonight, she’s out here demanding a match with the champion, aiming to shake things up for the higher-ups. Adam Pearce, showing his usual good sense, isn’t allowing this unsanctioned brawl to interfere with WrestleMania, but it’s clear both women are desperate to tear each other apart. Rhea Ripley managed to bulldoze her way past the guards, unleashing a wave of fury on Lynch.

Raw 01.04.2024 post image 11Raw 01.04.2024 - Nobody can stop Mami from taking her revenge.

It was almost cringeworthy watching the bodyguards struggle to hold these two back, even with their advantage in numbers. This isn’t just a title rivalry; it’s personal. The battle at WrestleMania is shaping up to be a true fight for survival. Even backstage, Adam Pearce had a tough time keeping these two separated. This one’s going to be explosive.

Raw 01.04.2024 post image 12Raw 01.04.2024 - I feel that this will be what we gonna see on PLE when Rhea smashes The Man.

Damage CTRL Shows Their Dominance

Tonight, Dakota Kai and the Kabuki Warriors teamed up to face Shayna Baszler, Zoey Stark, and Tegan Nox. I trust Zoey and Shayna to bring it, but Nox has always been the weak link in any team she’s on. Predictably, this should be an easy victory for Damage CTRL—though they may find a more serious challenge waiting for them on SmackDown now that Jade Cargill has arrived. Honestly, I’m disappointed in the women's champion for not competing regularly. I think Iyo Sky is getting rusty.

Raw 01.04.2024 post image 13Raw 01.04.2024 - Zoey is one woman wrecking crew.

As expected, Zoey carried the bulk of her team’s effort, while Nox tried to prove she belongs in the ring, and Baszler, well, she’s clearly past her prime. With little to no help, Stark couldn’t hold off the entire Damage CTRL team alone. In the end, Nox cost them the match, falling to Kai’s Face Wash and Kairi Sane’s Insane Elbow. Zero chance of victory for Stark with those teammates. Next time, I think Zoey should consider a more reliable partner lineup if she wants a real shot at winning.

Raw 01.04.2024 post image 14Raw 01.04.2024 - A classic ending for Kabuki's matches.

Seth Rollins Tests the Bloodline Rules Match

Seth Rollins is starting to realize he’s in for anything but an ordinary match, and it seems like he’s got a backup plan in mind. Backstage, he ran into Drew McIntyre, who told him, “I’m not dead yet.” Seth is waking up to the reality that when the Final Boss is in charge, things can get brutal fast. Solo Sikoa is eager to prove himself to his family tonight, and while he might not win, he’ll certainly look to leave Seth hurting just days before WrestleMania.

Raw 01.04.2024 post image 15Raw 01.04.2024 - Seth is losing no time to take down Solo as fast as possible.

Rollins wasted no time and kicked things off with a high-risk Suicide Dive, trying to take Solo down early before the rest of the Bloodline could interfere. For Seth, survival is key here—winning is secondary. The most impressive moment came when Seth threw a chair into Solo’s face and followed it with a DDT onto the chair. The champ meant business tonight!

Raw 01.04.2024 post image 16Raw 01.04.2024 - Champion as usual make crowd cheering after breaking table with Sikoa.

But Sikoa wasn’t going to be outdone. To the crowd’s delight, he hoisted Seth up and drove him through a table with a Samoan Drop. Seth wasn’t backing down, though, hitting Solo with a Powerbomb through a second table and finishing him off with a Stomp. The match looked done, but, true to Bloodline style, Jimmy Uso swooped in. However, Jey Uso arrived just in time to back up Seth, creating a standoff between the brothers.

Raw 01.04.2024 post image 17Raw 01.04.2024 - Cody and Seth made a great trap to make revenge on Final Boss.

But just as Jey went to help Rollins, the Final Boss stepped in, taking control of the chaos. It seemed there was no way out for Seth until—surprise!—Cody Rhodes, supposedly out of commission, appeared to get his revenge for last week’s SmackDown. The Rock was thrown off guard, and Cody stunned him, teaming with Seth for a Rock Bottom double finisher. Just when it looked like the Bloodline would finally go down, Roman Reigns himself stormed in to even the odds, stopping both Cody and Seth in their tracks.

Raw 01.04.2024 post image 18Raw 01.04.2024 - Two shows in a row The Rock wope Cody's ass with custom made belt.

Roman wasted no time, delivering a brutal Superman Punch to Seth and a Spear to Cody, showing why he’s the Undisputed Champion. The night ended in a brutal fashion, with The Rock and Roman mercilessly beating down Cody and Seth, leaving them in a heap. This might be the first taste of the carnage we’ll see at WrestleMania.

Final Thoughts and Ranking

What can I say about this final Raw before WrestleMania? It was nothing short of perfect. First off, Sami Zayn might just have found the fire to claim the Intercontinental Title. The fact that he pushed Gunther to attack him before the bell says a lot—Gunther rarely makes the first move, so that match could deliver something truly special.

Judgment Day also has its hands full at WrestleMania: Rhea, Damian, and Finn are all defending titles, while Dominik and Santos will be facing Rey and Dragon Lee. JD McDonagh isn’t officially in a match, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s ringside to lend his “family” a hand.

Raw 01.04.2024 post image 19A picture we'll likely see at WrestlMania on day one. I don't see any real chance for Cody and Seth with this relentless beating going on week after week. The strongest duo in all of WWE seems to be my favorite on PLE, but you know, wrestling - looks can be deceiving.

And, of course, the genius mind games from Cody and Seth tonight, expertly countered by the Bloodline. Roman outplayed everyone, derailing their plans with ruthless efficiency. Watching him lash out with that belt was brutal, unsettling even, showing a level of aggression WWE hasn’t displayed in recent years. It felt sadistic, a raw reminder of what’s on the line as Raw transitions to Netflix.

Tonight was an intense preview of what could be in store on Day One of WrestleMania. Without a doubt, I’m giving this show a 9/10 for the sheer drama and the way it sets the stage for an unforgettable PLE! See you all for the final SmackDown before WrestleMania!
