Raw 04.03.2024
Whoo-hoo! The RadiantGame Team is now in your city San Antonia, Texas! The excitement is through the roof as tonight's show promises some intense action. Drew McIntyre is set to face his nemesis Jey Uso in what should be a brutal clash, while Nia Jax looks to continue her path of destruction as she takes on "The Man" Becky Lynch. And of course, Cody Rhodes has something to say after last week’s intriguing proposal from The Bloodline. With all these high-stakes matchups, it’s clear that tonight is going to be packed with drama, and San Antonio is the perfect setting for it. Buckle up because things are about to get wild!
Nightmare and Architect Building Plans
Cody Rhodes, the self-proclaimed "hero of the people," kicks off tonight's Raw to a roaring ovation from the crowd. They love him, even if I don’t. Honestly, I’m realizing how much I dislike this character—someone who fears nothing, like he's some kind of superhuman. Or maybe just a guy WWE allows to be. It’s getting a bit ridiculous for me, but hey, the people love to rally behind their hero. Cody revealed that The Rock almost made him reconsider his decision about challenging Roman. Dwayne advised him that the fans would rather see The Rock vs. Roman Reigns than Cody stepping up. But, of course, WWE Universe spoiled that dream match by loudly chanting, “We want Cody!” Rhodes admits that it’s time to address the counter-challenge from last week, involving both himself and his friend Seth Rollins.
Raw 04.03.2024 - Meeting of the most popular wrestlers in WWE today.
Here we have, arguably, two of the most beloved superstars in the WWE standing in the ring together. Cody even took a moment to mention Drew McIntyre, the only other man to pin him recently. He questions Seth, asking if he’ll be there to back him up or if he’ll focus solely on his title match.Rollins, the always charismatic champion, responds with a strong statement: the most important thing now is taking down The Bloodline. He reflects on their days in The Shield, where they fought for the people, only for Roman to consolidate all the power in his grasp. Seth even threw some shade at The Rock, calling him "Diarrhea Dwayne," which got a big laugh from the crowd.
Raw 04.03.2024 - On Raw opposite union to Bloodline was settled.
Seth then announces that he's medically cleared and will be heading to SmackDown to confront The Bloodline himself, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Cody. Both men are ready to face off with the most dominant faction in WWE, but I have to say, it’s not the wisest move. The Bloodline is still the most powerful group in the business, and even these two might be biting off more than they can chew. Regardless, it was a strong way to kick off the show, with bold statements from both the Nightmare and the Architect.
Gunther Teaches Another Lesson
Dominik Mysterio decided to run his mouth towards Gunther, and tonight, the Ring General was ready to teach him a harsh lesson. Accompanied by JD McDonagh, Dom may have felt a bit more confident, but confidence won’t save you from a champion like Gunther. The result of this match felt inevitable: Gunther was going to absolutely destroy him.
Raw 04.03.2024 - Gunther manhandling Mysterio like a toy.
Right from the start, Dominik’s strategy was clear—try to get under the champion’s skin by taunting and even slapping him in the face. Classic dirty tricks from Mysterio, but that only served to make Gunther more angry. At one point, Dom got lucky when Gunther accidentally chopped the ring post, giving him the opening to target Gunther’s injured hand. But as expected, that didn’t slow down the Ring General much. Gunther displayed his usual inhuman power, landing devastating chops that practically turned Mysterio inside out. There were moments where Dom looked like he was flying from the sheer force of those blows. It was a chop fest, with Dom barely hanging on, despite JD’s occasional distractions.
Raw 04.03.2024 - Rare offence by Dominik in this match.
It was almost comedic to watch Dominik attempt to chop Gunther in return. After a brutal lariat, Gunther could have easily finished Dom, but he decided to prolong the punishment, lifting Mysterio for a powerbomb. This nearly cost him the match, as Dom showed a brief flash of resilience, giving us a moment of suspense. But let’s be real—Gunther is a machine who rarely makes mistakes.
Raw 04.03.2024 - Impressive agility of our Intercontinental Champion.
With a crushing powerbomb and a brutal submission, Gunther secured a dominant victory. His performance remains flawless, and honestly, he’s on the same level as Roman Reigns, if not higher right now. The Ring General is an unstoppable force, and tonight, he proved once again why he's one of the most impressive champions in WWE.
Adam Pearce Keeps Everything Under Control
Backstage, Dakota Kai and her newly aligned friends, Damage CTRL, ran into Adam Pearce. It was clear Pearce wasn’t thrilled to see Dakota there, especially considering her recent betrayal of Bayley. He warned her that he’d be keeping a close eye on Damage CTRL moving forward, ensuring things didn’t get out of hand.
As if that wasn’t enough, Shinsuke Nakamura approached Pearce as well, demanding a conversation. It turns out, Nakamura has his sights set on the Intercontinental Championship, signaling his intention to enter the title race. With Shinsuke’s unpredictable nature and undeniable skill, this could be an exciting development and a serious challenge for Gunther down the line.
It’s clear that Pearce is juggling a lot, but he seems determined to keep everything in check. Damage CTRL, Dakota’s betrayal, and now Nakamura aiming for the Intercontinental Title – Raw’s roster is heating up.
Women’s #1 Contender Match
Katana Chance and Kayden Carter decided to seize their opportunity for a match on the grandest stage of the year, WrestleMania. However, standing in their way were two of WWE’s most dangerous competitors: Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler. With Damage CTRL at ringside, the atmosphere was ripe for chaos, just as Adam Pearce had predicted.
Raw 04.03.2024 - This superkick will probobly knocked my head off.
Katana and Kayden, former tag team champions, showcased their incredible chemistry with flawless tag-team interactions, building momentum throughout the match. At one point, they hit their signature After Party move, which looked to secure them the victory. But Shayna Baszler was on guard, breaking up the pin and immediately locking Kayden in her deadly Kirifuda Clutch. This distraction allowed Zoey to roll up Katana for the three-count, snatching victory from the former champs.
Raw 04.03.2024 - Critical moment of the match.
Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler are now the #1 contenders for the Women’s Tag Team Titles. Asuka and Kairi Sane, the current champions, made their way to the stage after the match to get a closer look at their new challengers. The Kabuki Warriors are formidable, and with the numbers game in their favor thanks to Damage CTRL, things aren't looking good for Zoey and Shayna. However, there is a wildcard—Bayley. Could she even the odds when the time comes?Dakota Kai, trying to stir the pot, offered a few choice words to the new contenders, but Shayna and Zoey are not easily intimidated. Shayna simply responded, “See you soon.” Surprisingly, there was no physical confrontation tonight, but the tension between these teams is palpable.
Raw 04.03.2024 - Damage CTRL is ready for war.
Congratulations to Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler on their win, and let’s see how this rivalry unfolds in the coming weeks!
Judgment Day’s Plans
In the medical room, Judgment Day is gathered around a bruised and battered Dominik Mysterio, who’s barely moving after the brutal beating he took from Gunther earlier. It's clear that Dom is in rough shape, and everyone is wondering how he's even able to sit up after facing the dominant Intercontinental Champion.
What made this moment stand out was the unexpected appearance of Andrade. He walked in and greeted Dominik, showing a surprising interest in him. Rhea Ripley, clearly concerned about her "Latino Heat," perked up at the idea that Andrade could be of use to the Judgment Day. The group may see potential in Andrade, and Mysterio might now have an ally in his corner.
Despite Rhea’s concern, Damian Priest and Finn Bálor have their own plans to retaliate. They've decided to handle Imperium themselves, targeting Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci. JD McDonagh, on the other hand, is tasked with going after the mountain of a man, Gunther. Although Damian and Finn have a decent chance against the tag champions, JD taking on Gunther is a whole different story.
Considering the punishment Dom just received, JD McDonagh might be in for a similar fate next week. Gunther isn’t an easy target, and if things go the way they did for Dom, McDonagh could end up in the medical cabinet alongside him. Judgment Day may have plans, but going after someone as dangerous as Gunther seems like a risky strategy. Next week could be a disaster for McDonagh, but for now, Judgment Day is plotting their revenge.
The Man vs The Irresistible Force
Last week, Nia Jax sent a powerful message to Becky Lynch, promising to stand in her way on the road to WrestleMania. Now, "The Man" was ready to settle the score, but facing Jax is no small feat—especially considering that even "Mami" Rhea Ripley barely survived their last encounter. From the get-go, Becky knew she'd have to rely on her speed and technical prowess, attempting sleeper holds and submission moves to wear down her massive opponent. Unfortunately for Lynch, none of these tactics worked on Jax, who is not only incredibly strong but also highly motivated.
Raw 04.03.2024 - Nia Jax could one shot almost any superstar with this move.
For the majority of the match, Nia Jax dominated, punishing Becky with power moves and brutal slams. At one point, Jax even landed a devastating leg drop from the second rope, nearly ending Lynch’s night right there. In a callback to their infamous moment five years ago, Jax tried to deliver a bone-crunching punch to Becky’s face, but this time, Lynch dodged it, giving her an opening to mount a comeback.
Raw 04.03.2024 - Becky tried to submit Nia but this beast will not go down so easily.
Becky managed to build some momentum, but every time she gained a foothold, Jax quickly shut her down with another thunderous slam or a massive collision. Lynch’s final hope came when she locked in the Dis-Arm-Her after dodging Nia’s Annihilator. Becky tried transitioning into an armbar, but Jax powered out, rolling to the outside and smashing Lynch into the barricade with ease. As expected, this match couldn't end cleanly. Liv Morgan, in an attempt to even the odds, rushed in to help Becky. This sparked chaos, leading to a fierce altercation between the two women and Nia. However, the distraction worked in Jax’s favor, allowing her to manhandle both Lynch and Morgan with frightening ease.
Raw 04.03.2024 - Liv Morgan pay her debts for previous week.
This match made one thing clear: nobody but Rhea Ripley has been able to truly handle Nia Jax so far. Perhaps Becky and Liv need to join forces to stand a chance against the "Irresistible Force." Otherwise, Nia’s dominance could continue unchecked, potentially derailing any WrestleMania dreams Lynch has left.
Adam’s Big Plan for the Intercontinental Title & Mami's Confidence
Backstage, Ricochet was frustrated, feeling overlooked in the chase for the Intercontinental Championship. However, Adam Pearce assured him that he had a plan in the works that would make everyone happy. As Ricochet looked a bit more hopeful, The Judgment Day entered the office, with Damian Priest, Finn Bálor, and JD McDonagh pushing for JD to face Gunther. McDonagh seemed strangely motivated, almost eager, to step into the ring with the Ring General, despite the odds clearly being against him. It was an odd, yet bold request—one that JD would likely regret!
Meanwhile, as Liv Morgan and Becky Lynch solidified their alliance and planned to team up for next week, Rhea Ripley happened to pass by. She simply smirked at their efforts, laughing off the idea that they’d be any match for her or the chaos she thrives in. "Mami" seemed more confident than ever, dismissing their ambitions with a casual stroll, reinforcing that she’s the dominant force in the women's division.
Later, Adam Pearce made his highly anticipated announcement regarding the Intercontinental Championship. He revealed that six challengers would compete in a Gauntlet Match next week, and the winner would go on to face Gunther. The lineup was stacked, featuring Sami Zayn, Ricochet, Shinsuke Nakamura, Bronson Reed, JD McDonagh, and Chad Gable.
Though Ricochet looked relieved to be included, many fans couldn't help but groan at the idea of a Gauntlet Match—one of the most grueling and unpredictable match types in WWE. While it’s certainly not the fairest format, it does promise excitement, and it could give Gunther a much-needed challenge after his recent dominance. Will someone finally rise to dethrone the Ring General, or will this be just another victim added to his reign of destruction?
Andrade Debuts on Raw
Tonight marked the return of Andrade, and his opponent was none other than Apollo Crews—a face we haven’t seen in quite some time. Both men showed mutual respect before the bell, shaking hands in a sportsmanlike gesture. Fans were eager to see something more competitive than the quick squash match we witnessed with Bron Breakker on SmackDown, and this bout promised more.
Raw 04.03.2024 - Haven't seen showing of respect before the match for a long time.
In the early stages, Andrade and Crews seemed evenly matched, trading strikes and counters without either gaining a clear upper hand. Both competitors showcased their athleticism, but things took a turn when Apollo delivered a powerful superplex, seemingly setting the stage for his comeback. However, Andrade quickly countered, rolling through and hitting the Three Amigos, paying homage to the legendary Eddie Guerrero.
Raw 04.03.2024 - El Idolo feels the tension of this place.
From there, it was Andrade's match to win. After a vicious running knee, he set Crews up for the finish. A perfectly executed "La Sombra" sealed the victory for Andrade, ending Apollo’s night in decisive fashion. Though the match wasn’t a long one, it was competitive enough to remind everyone of Andrade's talent. A solid debut that sets the stage for more to come from "El Idolo" on Raw.
The Way of Sami Zayn
Backstage, Sami Zayn expressed his optimism, stating that everything is going according to plan. He views the upcoming gauntlet match as crucial on his road to WrestleMania. Ivar then joined the conversation, ready to prove to Sami that his journey would end tonight in the ring.
Meeting of Losers
In a backstage segment, Natalya, Indi Hartwell, Candice LeRae, Tegan Nox, and Maxxine Dupri discussed their aspirations for titles. However, it seemed like none of them truly stood out as contenders. Perhaps it’s time for some to venture into singles competition instead.
Judgment Day vs. Imperium
This match served as a significant test for Imperium, especially after their victory over The New Day. Early on, the Imperium duo took it to Finn Balor, who absorbed their punishment as usual. Balor managed to tag in Damian Priest, unleashing his fury and demonstrating his brutal strength. Imperium struggled to regain control, but they eventually found their footing and began to wear down Balor.
Raw 04.03.2024 - Beautiful tag team action by Imperium boys.
With the tide shifting, Balor was desperate for a tag to Priest. When he finally did, Damian showcased why he’s been nearly unbeatable this year, delivering a series of punishing moves. Imperium had a golden opportunity to finish Balor with their signature tag team maneuver, but their execution faltered. Balor capitalized, hitting a Coup de Grâce, but Kaiser broke up the pin. The inevitable came moments later when Priest delivered a South of Heaven to Vinci, sealing a dominant victory for Judgment Day. Imperium showed promise, but it’s clear this rivalry is far from over—Gunther will surely want to get involved.
Raw 04.03.2024 - Look at this huge southern paradise! Incredible height.
Why Is Seth Rollins Everywhere?
Backstage, Drew McIntyre expressed frustration over Seth Rollins' constant presence and attitude regarding the title picture on Raw. He promised to be a better champion if Rollins couldn't focus on his WrestleMania match. McIntyre believes he’s better than Jey Uso and insists that no one can defeat him.
The Man Who Believes in Himself
Sami Zayn faced a tough challenge against Ivar tonight, and it was clear from the start that it would be a grueling match for the “Ultimate Underdog.” The match began roughly for Zayn, who found opportunities to counter the Viking's power moves. He attempted a Blue Thunder Bomb but struggled, just as he did with his Helluva Kick, which Ivar countered with a devastating kick of his own.
Raw 04.03.2024 - Look at the size of this huge leg.SAmi's head is minor in compare with it.
Zayn absorbed a tremendous amount of punishment but managed to keep kicking out. Ivar showcased his athleticism, executing impressive high-flying maneuvers for someone of his size. Unfortunately, Zayn's attempts to secure victory fell short until a final, desperate attempt at a Helluva Kick. The match was ultimately disappointing as it seemed Zayn won mainly through sheer luck after enduring punishment.
Raw 04.03.2024 - Flying Godzilla is making Zayn feel the pain.
Following the match, Bronson Reed emerged, delivering a Tsunami Splash to Zayn, who had just fought valiantly. Thank you, Bronson, and good luck in the gauntlet match!
The Ring General Is On Call
Backstage, Gunther spoke calmly about Dominic Mysterio's brave but predictable challenge. He acknowledged Adam Pearce's announcement about the gauntlet match to determine Gunther's WrestleMania opponent. Their conversation was interrupted by Chad Gable, who lamented their last encounter and expressed concern for his daughter, making the match feel personal. Gunther listened with a smirk, leaving Gable wondering what was on the champion's mind.
Is Drew Part of the Bloodline?
In the main event, Jey Uso faced off against Drew McIntyre, who has previously bested Uso several times. It was clear that Jey would need a miracle to win tonight. The match began with Jey gaining momentum but quickly turned when Drew slammed him through the commentary table, showcasing his immense strength.
Raw 04.03.2024 - Jey used everything he could to stop Dark Knight.
The match was a classic display of raw power versus agility. For much of the match, Jey struggled to regain control, but after a failed attempt at a White Noise, he countered with a powerbomb. Jey seized an opportunity to deliver a Samoan Splash, but Drew's knees thwarted that attempt.
Raw 04.03.2024 - Heavyweight champion is coming to the aid of Jey Uso.
The action intensified outside the ring with suplexes and slams against the barricade. After a double stomp in the corner, Jey found his opening to unleash a flurry of offense, only to be interrupted by Solo Sikoa, who targeted Jey. Fortunately for Uso, Cody Rhodes came to his aid, neutralizing Solo. In the midst of this chaos, Jey countered a Claymore with three consecutive superkicks, followed by a massive spear.
Just when it seemed Jey had the upper hand, Jimmy Uso interfered, allowing Drew to hit another Claymore. Was Drew working with the Bloodline all along? Afterward, Jimmy attempted to finish off Jey with a chair, but Seth Rollins rushed in to help. In the ensuing chaos, Drew ambushed Seth with yet another Claymore, intensifying the tension between the two.
Final Thoughts and Ranking
Overall, this was a great show. We witnessed Gunther's brutal domination of Dirty Dominic, the escalating conflict surrounding Rhea Ripley's title, and the emergence of contenders for the women’s tag team titles. Ivar and Sami’s match was entertaining, and Imperium put up a strong fight against the dominant champions.
The main event was as controversial as expected. Drew’s passive involvement with the Bloodline is intriguing, as it appears he’s using their influence to dismantle Cody and Seth before WrestleMania. While McIntyre believes he’s acting independently, I sense the manipulations of SmackDown’s royal family at play.
Let’s give this show a solid 7.5/10 and see what’s in store for us on the upcoming SmackDown!
