Dota 3 or largest update of all time
Hello guys,
I have massive news for you. Yesterday, Dota received one of the biggest updates in history. Patch 7.36 turns Dota upside down, and in my opinion, it could now be called Dota 3. This wasn't just a hotfix patch with minor changes to spells or items. This patch is comparable to when Talents were added and game mechanics were significantly changed. Let's take a quick look at what changed in our favorite MOBA game.
Innate Abilities
Most of the heroes in Dota have some passive skills that require skill points to learn and level up. With the addition of Innate Abilities, many heroes now have free passive options without needing to spend skill points. For example, Anti-Mage now has his Mana Break not only as a passive but also as an Innate Ability, giving you more options to choose from at level one. Other heroes, like Dawnbreaker, get totally new game-changing abilities. At every sunrise, Valora reveals the whole map for 5 seconds. You might think this ability doesn't produce damage or control, but I tell you, it’s overpowered to get information about opponents' movements, farming spots, stacks, etc. Now you are free to learn every new ability and change your game plan according to new circumstances. I think this is a great addition to the game.

Hero Facets
If you think Innate Abilities change gameplay significantly, what would you say about Facets? Every hero (except Chen) has two aspects to choose from two facets. It might sound a little rough, but one facet is defensive, and the other is offensive. I have this feeling, so don't judge me too harshly. A good example of such a combination could be Anti-Mage. One facet gives him the ability to counter spell back to the opponent as he used to before the patch. The other option is to increase your Mana Void damage based on the missing mana of opponents around you. Another example is Wraith King. One variant allows you to raise skeletons like you used to do, while the other option inflicts even more damage by cursing them and dealing delayed damage.

New Changes and a New Era in Dota History
If you ask me about my opinion on these changes, I can give you my first-day emotions and my thoughts on the second day when I started to read carefully about the new mechanics. After three losses in a row, I was really upset with all the new changes, and my first thought was, "It was better before." But when I seriously started reading and constructing thoughts inside my head, I can tell you that this huge update just increased playable options to a whole new level. I thought that in Dota, everything had already been invented. But IceFrog and Valve, every several years, give us not only new heroes with unique mechanics but also manage to rebuild every hero existing in the game. Now, this MOBA, in my opinion, looks supreme and is most interesting to play. It is a great time to make a comeback into the game or try it for the first time if you never did before. The only downside I can point out is that for a new player, it would be pretty hard to understand how everything works. Dota's framework is now massive and not too easy to grasp, but if you are already interested in this universe, I am sure you will manage to figure out what is going on.

That's all for today, guys. I hope you will share my enthusiasm about the new age of Dota 2, and we will meet in the Defense of the Ancients :) Stay safe and don't miss.
