SmackDown 02.02.2024

Finally, the Radiant Team is come back in Birmingham Alabama!  We're on the edge of our seats, expecting not one but two huge announcements from the Royal Rumble winners. I’ve got my guesses about what’s coming, but you never know—a shocking twist could change everything. And let’s not forget, the Tribal Chief himself is in the house, along with the United States Champion, fresh off his survival against Kevin Owens at the Royal Rumble. Buckle up—it’s going to be a wild ride tonight!

Logan Paul: The Mouth That Roars

Logan Paul, still your United States Champion, is riding high, and boy, does he love to remind us. After nearly losing it all to Kevin Owens, he somehow managed to hold onto his title, and now he’s ready to boast about his greatness, wealth, and popularity. But let’s be real—wouldn’t LA Knight make the perfect foil for Logan? The Megastar came up short against Roman, but the U.S. title would look fantastic around his waist. Luckily, KO interrupted Logan’s self-congratulatory speech. Logan spun a wild story about how his plan with the brass knuckles was all him, but Owens wasn’t having it. He thanked the ref for letting him “kick Logan’s ass” one more time, which sent Logan scrambling. Logan quickly declared there’d be no rematch and warned KO to focus on his upcoming match with Austin Theory.

Kevin Owens Delivers Another Beatdown

Grayson Waller and Austin Theory seem to have appointed themselves as Logan’s personal bodyguards—or maybe his new best buddies, who knows? But Austin should know better. He’s faced KO plenty of times and never come out on top. This match wasn’t a cakewalk for KO, though. Theory landed some solid counter-attacks, with knee strikes and clever sidesteps. Meanwhile, Logan was ringside, watching intently and even admitting that KO is a tough guy. But as expected, things got dirty again. Logan tried to pull another fast one with the brass knuckles, but this time, KO was ready. While Logan was busy arguing with the ref, Owens grabbed the weapon, clocked Theory in the face, and swiftly hid the evidence. Lesson learned: don’t repeat the same mistake twice. Waller also got a taste of the knuckles, leaving Logan with no choice but to retreat. I’ve got a feeling their next encounter will be under no rules—maybe even inside a steel cage. Now that would be something to see!

Backstage Contract Signing

Naomi is back where she belongs—on SmackDown! She received a warm welcome from Bianca Belair, Michin, and Shotzi. But it didn’t take long for Tiffany Stratton to make an impression, immediately slapping Michin in the face and setting the stage for what’s sure to be an intense rivalry.

Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Chaos

Pretty Deadly is set to clash with LWO, Legado del Fantasma, and the duo of Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate in a Fatal 4-Way Tag Team match. I’ve got to be honest—these matches aren’t usually my cup of tea. They’re chaotic, messy, and nearly impossible to predict. But if I had to pick a favorite, it would be Tyler and Dunne. The ongoing feud between Legado and LWO meant they were more focused on each other than on winning, leaving the door wide open for Tyler and Dunne to take advantage. Pretty Deadly seemed to have lost their edge recently, and after some impressive teamwork, Bate and Dunne easily secured the win.

Bayley’s Big Decision

Last week, Bayley left us hanging, unable to decide which champion she’d challenge at WrestleMania. But tonight, the time for indecision is over. Will she go with the obvious choice of Rhea Ripley—or surprise us all? The leader of Damage CTRL kicked things off by thanking her team for their support, saying that WrestleMania had given her almost every moment she could dream of. But what really stung was the talk behind her back. She confronted Iyo, asking why everything changed after Asuka and Kairi joined the team. With no clear answer, the champions turned on Bayley, attacking her viciously. But Bayley was ready—she had an equalizer hidden near the ring. A steel pipe in hand, she cleared the ring and, with tears in her eyes, announced that she’ll face Iyo at WrestleMania. I saw this breakup coming weeks ago, and it finally happened. It’ll be interesting to see how Dakota reacts to all this.

All-Mighty Era vs. Final Testament: The Showdown

We’ve been waiting for this—a 3-on-3 showdown that’s been building for weeks. But I’ve got my doubts—will the Street Profits hold up their end for Bobby Lashley? Things quickly spiraled into chaos before the match even officially started, with both teams brawling from the get-go. Scarlett once again tried to tip the scales, but Lashley had a trump card up his sleeve. B-Fab finally joined the All-Mighty Era and helped neutralize Scarlett. In the end, Bobby and his allies stood tall, proving that strength is still on their side.

The Manager Wars Continue

Backstage, Nick Aldis made his move, offering Bron Breakker a contract, but Adam Pearce wasn’t about to let that happen without a fight. Pearce urged Breakker to consider joining Raw instead, possibly snagging a Raw contract next week. Aldis was fuming, but before things could escalate, Jade Cargill walked in, and Aldis wisely asked Pearce to leave. I’m pumped to see Jade in action—hopefully, they won’t keep her on the sidelines for too long.

Tiffany Stratton’s SmackDown Debut

After slapping Michin in the face, it was clear we’d see these two square off tonight. Commentary dubbed Tiffany the “Center of the Universe,” and Michin came in fired up, with a fierce attitude that might just work in her favor. But deep down, I knew her chances were slim. Tiffany took a lot of damage throughout the match and struggled to counter, but I’m convinced she’ll become the most hated heel in the women’s division soon enough. As expected, the match ended with Tiffany’s devastating Rolling Senton, followed by her stunning finisher, the Prettiest Moonsault Ever. It’s a great start for a future superstar.

Cody’s Game-Changing Decision

The final segment of tonight’s SmackDown featured the Bloodline and your Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns. Seth Rollins’ comments about Roman’s “illegitimate” championship clearly struck a nerve, prompting Roman to set the record straight. The Universal Championship is not secondary—it’s the most coveted title in WWE history, thanks to Roman’s reign. Just look at the list of superstars he’s taken down over the past three years. Seth is injured, his back and knee are in shambles, and he looks more like a broken man than a champion. Roman laid out two options for Cody: try again at WrestleMania and lose once more, or take his shot at the “best number two” in WWE. But in the end, the Tribal Chief doesn’t care what Cody decides.

The American Nightmare appeared and insisted on facing Roman one-on-one in the ring. Cody reminded Roman that he nearly defeated him a year ago and would love another shot. He promised to come for Roman and take everything from him—but not tonight. Instead, Cody introduced the man who might finally dethrone Roman. And yes, you guessed it—the Rock is back! The most electrifying man in all of WWE will challenge the Tribal Chief for the title. After a handshake and a hug with Cody, the Rock stared down Roman, the two Samoan legends locking eyes in what might be the biggest moment of the year.

Final Thoughts and Ranking

What a show! If you ask me, we’re witnessing the rise of some major conflicts—especially between the All-Mighty Era and the Final Testament. And how about the debut of Tiffany Stratton? She’s definitely one to watch. But the highlight of the night? The return of The Rock and Cody’s monumental decision. Fans might be divided, but I’m pumped for the epic showdown between The Rock and your Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns. This show gets an electrifying 8/10 from me, thanks to the unexpected comebacks and the intense atmosphere. That’s all for today—see you next time! 😊
