Raw 11.12.2023

Whoo-hoo! The RadiantGame Team is now in our city - Cleveland, OH! I am so excited about this episode of Raw. We'll see Drew vs Jey, Cody and Shinsuke, and CM Punk should make a decision about his future. I can't wait! Let's go!

Jey Uso and Drew Raw opener

Main Event Jey Uso opened today's show. Since Cody brought him back, I think Jey is almost as popular as Rhodes himself. The audience loves him very much. Yet, Boy announced that his catchphrase is now out of danger and WWE dealt with it. He also mentioned Sami Zayn, who got a leg injury after the attack by Drew last week.

Raw 11.12.2023 post image 1Raw 11.12.2023: Jey Uso takes back his "Yeet" chant

With fiery heart, Jey promised to deal with the Scottish Warrior today, and he appeared. Drew is now one of the toughest heels in WWE. Strong, angry, and almost unstoppable, he's a high threat to any wrestler in the locker room. He tried to apologize to Sami, mentioning that he was a bit too hot last week, but at least he left him with one healthy leg.

Raw 11.12.2023 post image 2Raw 11.12.2023: Drew promises to send Uso to hospital

Drew spoke very convincingly and hit the right place by calling Jey coward and betrayer, and of course, promised to knock his head off. Uso could not stand this attitude for long and made the first strike in this battle. The match begins.

Jey Uso vs Drew McIntyre

Match we've been waiting for a long time. There's a lot of bad blood between these two men. This conflict is old and started last year at Clash in the Castle, where Jey cost Drew his title opportunity. Since then, McIntyre seeks revenge, and today he may get it. Considering Jey as a top performer who could exhaust Seth last week and almost get the job done, I still think that Drew is a bit stronger. His physicality and stamina will let him absorb a lot of damage and cause serious damage of his own.

Raw 11.12.2023 post image 3Raw 11.12.2023: Uso Splash on Drew

Jey had a good spot when Drew was outside the ring, missed the Claymore, and was dropped on the table. Jey took advantage of the situation by sending Drew for the Uso Splash, but the Scottish Warrior raised his knees up and countered with the Future Shock DDT, which almost brought victory. Unfortunately, Drew doesn't mind using dirty tricks. Taking off the turnbuckle pad, he got speared by Jey. The referee counted 2.8, but Drew raised his shoulder up.

Raw 11.12.2023 post image 4Raw 11.12.2023: Drew blinded Uso

While the referee tried to put the protective pad back, McIntyre attacked Jey's eyes. Last week, he injured Sami's leg. This time, it was Uso's eyes. This Scottish bastard becomes more evil every week. Due to blindness, Jey could not dodge the Claymore, and Drew got the victory. As I understand, this victory does not satisfy the thirst for revenge because it was dirty and unfair. Maybe Drew just can't beat Jey in a fair fight, and he realized that too?

Shinsuke Sends a Message to Cody

Once again, the Japanese artist created a video explaining his motivation for targeting Cody. Perhaps I simply don't grasp all the Eastern wisdom, but his motivation seemed questionable. He believes that by dealing with Cody and preventing him from fulfilling his destiny, Nakamura himself will take Cody's place and head to the main event of WrestleMania? At least, that's how I interpreted it. Well, we will see what the artist will show us in his upcoming match

Judgment Day Unity Under Pressure?"

Backstage, members of Judgment Day are having a challenging day. First, Dirty Dom loses his title to Dragon Lee, dealing a big blow to Judgment Day's dominant position. The tag team titles are also at risk due to the unstoppable Creed Brothers. Meanwhile, R-Truth continues his attempts to sneak into the group's private affairs, and tonight, Rhea Ripley aims to remind the entire women's division of her dominance and strength. Maxxine will face Mommi tonight, with R-Truth also involved, bringing garlands to make the Judgment Day place more comfortable. What's even more amusing is his belief that he is a member of Judgment Day, though they may not know it yet. "Happy Thanksgiving Day!" I'm thrilled that this guy is back; I can never stop laughing when I hear R-Truth. Thank you for these emotions.

Rhea Ripley vs. Maxxine Dupri

Raw 11.12.2023 post image 5Raw 11.12.2023: Mommi

Maxxine, who initially began her career in WWE as a manager, is now actively stepping into the ring. However, as I've seen before and witnessed in this match, she is not yet ready for in-ring competition. Ivy Nile, one of the most talented individuals in my opinion, tried to assist Dupri, but it seemed impossible. In a short match filled with botches, the champion utilized the Prism Trap and secured the victory. After the match, Rhea and Ivy had a staredown, which was quite intense. I'm eager to see this match on PPV, with two exceptional female athletes in action. That would be truly awesome.

CM Punk Makes His Decision

Fresh newcomer, CM Hypacrete Punk, is in the building tonight. He's ready to announce his decision about which brand he'll be joining. Fortunately for Adam Pierce, Punk chose Raw. And Philippe shouldn't tell the audience that it's his hope because we all know that it's the Monday Night Rollins show.

Raw 11.12.2023 post image 7Raw 11.12.2023: Punk signs contract with Raw

The champion is in the house, and he harbors no warm feelings toward Punk. We can recall the times of The Shield and their confrontations afterward. The champion took Punk's words close to heart, mentioning that Phillip ran away from WWE and spent 10 years slandering all the people in the locker room. Seth was honest - he hates CM Punk. But when Phillip makes a mistake, Seth will be there, closing the door after him. When Seth finishes, Punk takes the microphone and officially adds himself to the Royal Rumble, promising that there's a big possibility that after victory, he'll come after Seth. Once again, Seth finds himself an opponent. It's a good sign when the champion doesn't hide or run from a fight but faces it head-on.

Ivar vs. Bronson Reed

Last week, these two colossals destroyed each other in a regular rules match, but unfortunately, they both got double counted out. I thought this week they would be locked in a cage or at least in a no holds barred match, but once again, they faced off in a classic wrestling match. These two machines of destruction have shown us great matches in the last half a year, and this time, they delivered a great performance. Ivar jumped from the third rope outside the ring and was already ready to end Reed, but the big man found the strength to rise and perform a massive Superplex from the third rope, securing the victory. I was sure the ring would collapse, but the structure stood tall. Once again, the Australian proved he is a really big guy. I'm sure this is not the last meeting between these two. I think WWE will organize a cage match so that we can find out who is stronger in a real fight.

Judgment Day Betrays R-Truth

Judgment Day's members are in the ring. Damian, as the leader of the group, reminds everyone that Judgment Day rules on Monday Night Raw and no one will stand in their way. None but the newest self-proclaimed member - R-Truth. He came to the ring and shared some ideas on how to improve Judgment Day. "First of all, we should throw JD away. Sorry, man, but no one likes you. And secondly, DP, you should stop being the boss. I like that you are the boss, but Mommi didn't like it!"

Raw 11.12.2023 post image 10Raw 11.12.2023: R-Truth wants to join The Judgment Day

At some point, I thought Judgment Day would really take R-Truth into their circle, but Damian struck him down, and all members started beating him. However, the Creed Brothers were on duty, and in a two-on-four situation, they took the leading position, throwing all of Priest's allies away. As I already said, the tag team titles are in danger. It's a shame they refused to add Truth to Judgment Day. How cool it could have been. Eh.

Kayden Carter & Katana Chance vs. Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell

Once again, I was watching a match where Indi and Candice are losing without any chances. Since their debut on the main roster, these girls could not find their way. Those who've got it, they've got it. In a relatively short match, contenders for the tag team titles finished off their opponents in a spectacular manner using impressive tag team moves. Perhaps they're not as popular in WWE yet due to a lack of microphone moments, but in the ring, they exhibit very good knowledge. I think they have a real chance to capture titles from Green and Piper.

Imperium and DIY backstage segment

My boys from Imperium are set to have a match this week against DIY. Last week, they disappointed Gunther, and today the General himself is taking part in the match to handle the problems personally. I have some bad feelings about this because if Gunther loses, he only loses in tag team matches, and of course, the pinfall is counted on somebody else. We will see tonight who will emerge stronger. My heart stands with Imperium.

Becky Lynch challanges Nia Jax

I'm sorry, but this episode was simply disgusting and made no sense. Since Becky is out of the title race and has no ongoing conflicts, she decided it would be a good idea to make Nia her enemy. Both women made numerous references to a match that happened five years ago when Jax smashed Lynch's face, with Nia even saying, 'I was the woman who created a Man.'

Raw 11.12.2023 post image 12Raw 11.12.2023: Becky wants Nia in a fight

In short, Becky wants to prove that her career and success in WWE weren't due to Nia's actions but rather her own efforts. Unexpectedly, Jax won the verbal exchange, forcing Becky to provoke physical contact. However, the XXX-sized model is not so easily manipulated, and she will fight when and where she chooses. Currently, I see no chances for Lynch. The only woman who could stop the Irresistible Force is Mommi, but she has her own problems right now.

Imperium vs The Miz & DIY

The match I had been eagerly anticipating all evening finally arrived: Gunther and the Imperium boys versus DIY and a mysterious ally. I had some ideas about who this ally might be, and one of the most obvious choices was The Miz.

Raw 11.12.2023 post image 13Raw 11.12.2023: Gunther and Imperium

As expected, Gunther secured a decisive victory over Miz, while Johnny and Tommaso proved stronger than Kaiser and Vinci. General, true to form, insisted on handling every opponent himself, and he was remarkably successful in doing so. Every time he entered the ring, DIY and Miz found themselves unable to mount much offense. However, his allies didn't fare as well. It seems the loss for Imperium falls on the conscience of Vinci and Kaiser. It wasn't awful, but something was definitely missing perhaps recent communication problems or Ludwig's pride. Vinci attempted to salvage the match for his partners, but unfortunately, Miz managed to secure the victory by pinning the Italian wrestler with his Skull Crushing Finale.

I believe Gunther will reprimand his subordinates, and there may be changes on the horizon for Imperium.

Raw 11.12.2023 post image 14Raw 11.12.2023: Skull Crushing Finale on Vinci

In the backstage area, Miz once again approached Gunther, this time requesting a title match. Reluctantly, General agreed, but he laid down special conditions: if Miz were to lose again, he would never receive another title shot as long as Gunther remained champion. Miz agreed to the terms. It seems we have another exciting match to look forward to soon.

Cody Rhodes vs Shinsuke Nakamura

Another conflict has emerged seemingly out of nowhere. Shinsuke attempted to explain his motivations, but frankly, they seem rather absurd and unlikely to lead anywhere, even if he manages to fulfill his promises. On the other hand, Cody won't have an easy road to the Royal Rumble, and Nakamura proves to be a tough opponent requiring thorough preparation.

Raw 11.12.2023 post image 15Raw 11.12.2023: Cody sees something cool in the air

Shinsuke performed admirably in this match, maintaining control for the majority of the bout with beautiful counterattacks and submission moves. There was a moment where I thought Kinshasa would end it, but Cody fought back valiantly. As I mentioned in my previous review of Raw, Rhodes seems to emulate the modern-day John Cena, enduring punishment from his opponent for much of the match only to emerge victorious in critical moments with the Cody Cutter and Crossroads, reminiscent of Cena's signature moves like shoulder blocks and the AA.

Raw 11.12.2023 post image 16Raw 11.12.2023. Red Mist attack from Nakamura

Shinsuke sensed the momentum shifting and attempted to execute Crossroads on Cody, resorting to using the red mist to blind him. The referee called for a disqualification, but the Japanese athlete wasn't finished yet. He delivered a devastating Kinshasa to the back of Cody's head and wielded a steel chair before the Creed brothers, affectionately dubbed Chip 'n Dale, intervened to save Cody. Morally, Nakamura may have won tonight, but I'm confident Rhodes will seek another opportunity to face him in the future.

Ranking and Opinion

The latest episode of Monday Night Raw was pretty cool. We witnessed a great match featuring Imperium and DIY, which I thoroughly enjoyed, along with the R-Truth and Judgment Day segments. Jey Uso and Drew kicked off the show with a fiery start, and CM Punk finally made his choice. However, the segment involving Nia and Becky was disappointing, so overall, I'd rate this show a 7 out of 10. Let's see what unfolds next week, but for now, that's all. Stay safe, and see you soon!
