Assetto Corsa 2 has been postponed until the summer of 2024

In March 2023, it was announced that the publisher 505 Games and the Italian studio Kunos Simulazioni had plans to release Assetto Corsa 2, a new installment of the popular racing simulator, in the spring of 2024. However, there have been some changes to these plans.

According to Digital Bros, Assetto Corsa 2 will not be released before the summer of 2024. The game will launch in early access on Steam, and further details about their plans will be announced later.

The reason for the delay is attributed to the fact that the developers at Kunos Simulazioni are heavily occupied with working on a new expansion for Assetto Corsa Competizione. The new 2024 GT World Challenge Pack is set to be released in the spring of 2024. It will include a licensed endurance race, the "24 Hours of Nürburgring," known for the technical complexity of its track.

Assetto Corsa Competizione, the latest installment in the series at the time, was released in 2019 and has received very positive reviews on Steam, with a 92% recommendation rate from buyers.
