SmackDown 27.10.2023

Today is the big show, just one week away from Crown Jewel. We're almost at the finish line, and let's see what WWE has in store for us this time

The Undisputed WWE Universal Championship Contract Signing

The Undisputed WWE Universal Championship Contract Signing kicked off the show with an electric atmosphere. My two favorite wrestlers, Tribal Chief Roman Reigns and Mega Star LA Knight, took center stage. The anticipation for their showdown at Crown Jewel was palpable.

Roman Reigns, the Head of the Table, made his grand entrance – a long and epic procession that has become his trademark. However, LA Knight wasn't impressed. He interrupted Roman with his own entrance, confidently passing by Reigns and Heyman to take his place at the table's head. It was a display of mind games, with Knight continuously talking trash and almost guaranteeing his victory for the title.

Tensions reached a breaking point, and enough was enough for the Tribal Chief. Roman Reigns launched an attack on his opponent, and the confrontation spilled over with Jimmy Uso also becoming involved in the rivalry. Roman attempted to use the table, but in a surprising turn of events, the only one who tasted the table was Jimmy himself. LA Knight claimed victory in this battle, taking a 1-0 lead in their feud.

Backstage, Roman Reigns issued an order to his wise man to set up a match between LA Knight and Jimmy Uso for later in the night. The fans were left eagerly anticipating the main event, as the intense feud between Reigns and Knight continued to unfold

The Street Profits vs The LWO's Carlito & Santos Escobar

The rivalry between these two teams shows no signs of ending, and this week's action featured Carlito in the mix. The match played out in typical fashion for these teams, with each member showcasing their unique skills and strategies. However, the turning point occurred with a sneak attack by Logan Paul on Rey Mysterio backstage.

In response to the ambush, Carlito rushed to help his friend, leaving Santos in a challenging 1-on-2 situation. As predicted, the Street Profits capitalized on the advantage and secured the victory. It's clear that the backstage drama spilled into the ring, influencing the outcome of the match.

On a side note, the Street Profits unveiled a new musical theme, adding another layer to their persona. The changes in both the in-ring dynamics and the entrance music suggest that the rivalry is evolving, keeping fans on the edge of their seats for what might happen next in this ongoing feud.

Shotzi vs Chelsea Green

It seems like Chelsea faced another setback in her match against the unpredictable Shotzi. Despite being one-half of the tag team champions, Chelsea found herself in a one-on-one match. Interestingly, it's a pattern for the tag team champions to compete individually in such matches.

In this particular instance, Chelsea Green had the upper hand initially, but underestimating her opponent proved to be a costly mistake. Shotzi seized the opportunity, executing a roll-up and securing the victory. The unpredictability of Shotzi and perhaps a lapse in Chelsea's strategy resulted in a surprising outcome.

Jhon Cena fire speech and bitter end

The excitement was palpable as the leader of the Cenation, often hailed as the Greatest of All Time (GOAT), made a thrilling entrance. The crowd erupted with joy at the return of the ex-WWE champion. Cena delivered a fiery speech, expressing gratitude to the fans for their unwavering support, love, the thunderous noise that echoes through arenas, and most importantly, the respect bestowed upon him.

In a surprising turn of events, an announcement echoed through the arena, revealing a one-on-one match between Cena and Solo at Crown Jewel.

It appears that John Cena's upcoming match against Solo holds significant importance for him, considering his long streak of days without solo wins. The pressure is on for Cena to break that streak and emerge victorious in this one-on-one showdown.

In a twist, Paul Heyman, known for his eloquence and mastery of the mic, made an appearance. Heyman, offering advice to Cena, suggested that instead of focusing on physical confrontations, Cena should leverage his speaking skills. Heyman emphasized the power of words, encouraging Cena to be like him – someone who can speak in a way that no one else can.

It seems that the plot thickens in the lead-up to the crucial match between John Cena and Solo. Despite Cena's never-give-up attitude, the situation took an unexpected turn with an ambush by Sikoa. The Uruguayan slam and Samoan Spike left Cena down and, presumably, at a disadvantage.

The excitement for the match has undoubtedly intensified, especially given the desperation of both competitors for a victory. Cena's determination to break his solo win drought clashes with Solo's own aspirations, creating a high-stakes scenario.

Dragon Lee vs Cedric Alexander

The match between two high-flyers, Cedric Alexander and Dragon Lee, sounds like it was an exciting showcase of athleticism and skill. It's great to hear that the match was filled with impressive spots, technical prowess, and even some power moves from Dragon.

It's interesting that both athletes have mutual respect for each other, and the post-match handshake adds a nice touch of sportsmanship. The idea of them forming a tag team could be intriguing. Tag teams often thrive on a combination of different styles, and if Cedric Alexander and Dragon Lee can complement each other's strengths, they might create a formidable and dynamic duo.

Bianca Belair return

The EST of WWE is back from trauma caused by DMG Control. She is angry and ready for revenge. Next week, she put her hands on Bayley, and on Crown Jewel, she managed to compete with Iyo for the WWE Women’s Championship. I know that Belair is a very talented and strong woman, but I personally stand for Sky. I think right now she needs victory more than the ex-Champion.

LA Knight vs Jimmy Uso

It sounds like a captivating episode of SmackDown with significant developments in the storylines. Your observation about LA Knight's wrestling style and microphone insults having references to The Rock is keen. Wrestlers often draw inspiration from legendary figures, and if Knight is incorporating elements reminiscent of The Rock, it adds an interesting dynamic to his character.

As for Jimmy Uso, it seems like he's currently in a bit of a lost state, following Roman Reigns' orders without a clear aim. The match between LA Knight and Jimmy showcased Knight's prowess, especially with a beautiful Superplex followed by the BFT for the victory.

The post-match interaction with Roman Reigns adds more intrigue to the ongoing feud. The fact that LA Knight managed to dodge Roman's spear and deliver a BFT of his own indicates a potential shift in the power dynamic.

My overall rating of 8/10 highlights the excitement generated by key moments such as the involvement of Trible Chief, the performance of LA Knight, the return of Cedric, and John Cena's impactful speech. With Crown Jewel just around the corner, it seems like the anticipation for the upcoming event has reached a fever pitch. Wrestling fans have a lot to look forward to in the final SmackDown before the big show in Saudi Arabia.
