Green Hell jorney. Part 3. Basic camp objects.
Hello, traveler. I hope you've already found your first resources, crafted your first tools, and are ready to build your first camp, the main base, if you wish. Let's do it then.
First of all, you must find a good place for your camp. I advise building your camp near lakes or rivers. It will provide you with clay, fish, and let you clean yourself after a hard day of work or skinning carcasses. This time, I chose a bamboo forest with a river nearby.

Take your axe and cut down some trees and bushes. I will provide you with some logs and long sticks, helpful in building. When it is done, press the N button. Yeah, it's one of the most important buttons in this game—the crafting and building menu. What we need is a bamboo frame and a roof from palm tree leaves. You can choose any material you like. I choose these because I have plenty of bamboo trees and bushes around and a couple of palm trees.Choose the wooden frame and place it on the ground. It will be a white color; let's name it a blueprint. Now grab the needed components for this blueprint. If it turns green, you can place it right. The first frame needs 4 bamboo logs, 4 long bamboo sticks, and 4 liana ropes. When every component is placed on its place, you will hear a special pleasant sound. You can build further, just choose the blueprint that is needed, and it will automatically stick to your built construction. Do the same trick with the leaf roof and bring leaves to finish your construction. Now you have a shelter.

Great job on finishing the roof! Now, not only are you protected from the rain, but you can also save your game progress. Having a shelter and the ability to save your progress are crucial steps in surviving the challenging environment of Green Hell's Amazon rainforest. With a secure shelter, you can weather the storms and other environmental challenges more effectively. It becomes a central hub for your activities, allowing you to store supplies, rest, and plan your next moves. The added benefit of saving your game progress means that your hard work won't be lost, and you can continue your adventure from where you left off.
Now that you have a shelter, it's crucial to create a comfortable place to sleep and establish a campfire. Sleeping on the ground is not advisable due to the risk of worms infestation. To address this, craft a simple leaf bed. Access the crafting menu and collect palm leaves, for example. This bed will allow you to rest and restore your stamina without risking health complications. The last essential component of your survival setup is a campfire. This serves as the heart of your camp, aiding in increasing sanity, boiling water, cooking dishes, and providing coal and ashes. Gather some sticks and small sticks to construct it. Now, you have two places for cooking.
Wondering how to ignite the campfire? Recall the hand drill you crafted earlier. Use it from your backpack, and when your character sits on the ground, add some dry grass. In just a few seconds, you'll have a small fire to light your campfire. Ideally, complete these basic structures on your first night for a secure and functional campsite
